RMIT Islamic Society's primary objective is to act as a support network for all Muslim students at RMIT.

RMIT Islamic Society is a Muslim student organisation based in RMIT Melbourne City Campus. Our mission is to spread and promote the balanced Islamic identity at RMIT, by creating an inclusive environment that fosters the needs of Muslim students while our vision is to contribute to the betterment of the Muslim community. We aim to do this by organising various events throughout the university year such as Islamic lectures, recreational events, BBQs, social events, Iftars and the list goes on.

2024 membership is free and is now open to RMIT students, Staff and Alumni over 18 years of age.

Where are the prayer rooms located?

Campus prayer room locations and opening times can be found at http://www.rmit.edu.au/chaplaincy/spiritualcentre/prayerrooms

How to get access to the prayer rooms?

To access the City  Campus Multifaith and Wellbeing Centre (where the prayer facilities are) you need to get security access added to your RMIT Student or Staff card. To get this, please go to the Security Control Room, Building 5, Level 1 and request security access card for for the Centre (Building 47). Rooms on the other campuses are open access and do not need to be added to your RMIT ID card.
