As the 2023 Sustainability Officer, Ella was central to the coordination and delivery of all RUSU's Sustainability activations and student engagement opportunities, including Sustainability Week and the Grow Team. A Bachelor of International Studies student, Ella is passionate about driving change aimed at promoting fair and accessible education.
In 2024, Ella hopes to further revitalize student communities at RMIT and strengthen the sense of belonging students have to campus and to university life in general. As President, Ella plans to lead RUSU to continue to deliver outstanding student experiences and to advocate for students across all areas of student learning, safety and wellbeing.
Dhweep Shah has been an active member of the RUSU community as both the elected Postgraduate Officer and Indian Club President and is now taking on the role of General Secretary for 2024. Dhweep is committed to advocating for student money to be spent on students and to ensuring RUSU is funded to provide programs and initiatives that are designed by students, for students.
Dhweep hopes to build on the success of previous years and expand key welfare initiatives at RUSU, such as our free food program. He will also continue to support amplifying the voices of underrepresented students at RMIT.
