Save My Degree RMIT
Bring Back the Academic Safety Net for RMIT Students NOW!
Last time Melbourne was in extended lockdown RMIT introduced a suite of academic support options to help students at RUSUs request. They have refused our appeal to reinstate them for semester 2 2021.
Other universities have acknowledged the severe impact ongoing lockdown has had on its students and their ability to study. These Universities are taking steps to protect students’ GPAs from the impact of COVID 19.
RMIT’s current academic support options were implemented at the beginning of June and were designed to support students through the short, ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown that ran from May 28th to June 10th. Instead, students have spent all but eight days in lockdown this semester and look to remain in lockdown for weeks to come. The current academic support options are not fit for purpose.
RMIT expects students to continue studying in semester 2 2021 as if it was business as usual but THIS IS NOT COVID NORMAL.
Stand with us and fight for support that acknowledges what students are going through and protect your GPA from another semester of lockdown.
