As the 2022 Women’s Officer, Beth was central to the strengthening of the Women’s Department at RUSU, welcoming women students back to our Women’s Rooms and running several outreach events and activities across campus.
A Bachelor of International Studies student, Beth has a keen interest in social and policy change to support equitable and accessible education. In 2023 Beth hopes to build on RUSU’s successes this year: re-building student communities and fostering a sense of connection to campus and RMIT. As President, Beth would like to guide RUSU to deliver and advocate for exceptional student experience outcomes across all aspects of learning and student life.
In 2022 Mark was the inaugural RUSU Disabilities and Carers Officer. In this role he worked closely with the ELS and the Library on events such as Global Accessibility Awareness Day and neurodiverse study sessions.
In his honours year of a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) / Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), Mark is keen to create positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes for students, and work closely with the University on its diversity and inclusion initiatives.
